Allan Sicks

Allan Sicks has been a photographic artist since he was awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography from Utah State University, and that was almost 50 years ago. After graduation, he was employed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission as a photographer for the prestigious NEBRASKAland magazine. While there, he was contacted by the Wyoming Gane and Fish Commission and asked to provide the photography for the Wyoming Wildlife magazine. Traveling almost 4,000 miles per month, Allan published over 3,000 photographs in over thirty national magazines. These magazines included: american Sportsman, Sports Afield, Field & Stream, Colorado Magazine, Teton Magazine, and Outdoor World among others. In 1968, Allan was contacted by Life magazine and was commissioned to photograph the winter assult of the Grand Teton by Paul Petzoldt and members of the National Outdoor Leadership School. Professional growth has been gained through membership in various professional photography organizations for the past 40 years. The highlight of Allan’s love affair with photography came in 1983 when he was accepted as one of 75 international students to attend the Ansel Adams workshop in Carmel, California. From 1970 to 1990, Allan’s commitment to the importance of photographic education manifested itself in another way. In addition to his professional photography, Allan instituted a nationally recognized photography program in the local school system. Since June of 1990, Allan has devoted full time to provide creative professional photography for his clients and the community. Because of Allan’s unique photographic knowledge and experience, his services have been in constant command demand and Allan has earned a reputation as a serious artist committed
to creative photography. Since 1965, this dedication to photography has become his way of life and Allan’s pursuit of excellence extends well beyond the normal 9-5
workday. Allan first became involved with digital imaging in 1985, and his photography business has now evolved into a full service digital studio. Using over 26 years of digital experience, Allan has produced a wide array of digital images used both for his portrait and commercial clients.
Allan is now utilizing the newest technogologies to produce his customized images for use as Fine Art wall decor for both the business and home environment. These
