The name has it all... ;-)

These pictures are the outcome of a project which questions how far a photographer can go without leaving the path of art for his pictuires.

I wanted to achieve the situation where the person watching the picture thinks "No, this isn't right..." and then, watching the pics, slowly turns to thoughts like "Ok, he managed to have a narrow escape..."

The project was to plan a set of pictures which are off topic, "too much" for artistic nude. But using shooting techniques, shadows/lights and post production to make them kind if "artistic" again.

Trigger for this idea was the well known picture of Helmut Newton (published in his book "Private Property") on which he portraied a fellatio situation. Watching the picture I had exactly that feleling: Moving from "That's not good..." to "well,ok, the shot is brilliant"... ;-)

I wanted to do a project to make pictures that let people have this same experience.

Hope you find it as interesting as I found it... Enjoy!

Provocative I Still Life

On of a set of pics that try to show a bit more explicit activities as an artwork.
Question is: How far can a photographer go without leaving the path of art?
