Stefan Keller

I was born in 1970 in Basel / Switzerland.

On my 16th Birthday I got my first SLR camera. A Nikon D301 with the 50mm f1.4 lens. I started with the classic 35mm film photography, at a time where 400 pictures to shoot in 2 weeks for amateur photographers were far and the results were visible only after days or weeks. I've tried with Cokin filter various effects. The experimenting and find new view has always fascinated me.

With the Nikon D50 I then entered the digital photography and in 2013 switched to the professional camera Nikon D800. From the 400 images in 2 weeks were over 400 images during the day and instead of Cokin filters I develop today the images with Lightroom. Only for long exposures, I use the LEE Big stopper filter. As before, I am fascinated by taking pictures with fixed focal length lenses such as for example the classic 50mm lens.

To my favourite motifs include recordings in the countryside, in cities or in the technical environment. Above all, I try to capture unique moments and to set the scene without having to change much in the picture. The essential part is to take place in the recording, with the choice of the subject, at the right time and the possible settings to the camera and the lens.
