While visiting Duluth Mn I made several trips down to Park Point Beach and shot some interesting ultra cold seascapes that were nice but nothing out of the ordinary. I noted that the ice was building and extending out from the shore little by little by surf piling ice slush up as it sloshed slowly onto the beach. The next morning while shooting the Early morning Star-scapes over the Lake with the City of Duluth Lights in the distance I felt a almost disorienting feeling and a extending quite a ways further out and a dramatic difference in the beach line. I made my way to a Very Different beach with odd indescribable shapes built by the surf, as the light advanced I was left looking at a surreal otherworldly vision I have never seen in my decades on the shore that only these photos can bring to life.I had a feeling that I was looking down as a giant on a bizarre lilliputian landscape. It was all gone in a few hours as the Lake reclaimed it. Now I almost feel like it was only a dream and did not even occur.
