Elf Evans artistic roots began on Chicago's South side listening to Jazz music, screams in the night and other sights pounding his head full of sorrowful happenings. His “Table Scape Photographs” and other images require the viewer to become inquisitive, searching for the meanings of his compositions while pleasantly experiencing their stories in line, colour, and subliminal resolution. His intention is to have each viewer come away from his work feeling as if they have participated mentally, physically and emotionally in his art. His work is in collections in various countries New Zealand, Hawaii, America, France, Holland and his Abstract Paintings are also widely collected.
He is currently living on the coast of Bretagne with his equally talented wife Caroline who shares his passions for photography and abstract painting!
*Note to distinguish his work, the terminology "Table Scape" is how he refers to his studio compositions!
