Mahindra youth football Challenge(MYFC)

Mahindra Group's commitment to promote football at the grassroots level had taken its first step by launching Mahindra youth football Challenge(MYFC) . The company has promoted this with a partnership with European well known soccer club-Celtic Football club,Scotland.

It has provided a platform for the football lovers of less known schools across the country. This game is played in six metro cities -Mumabai, Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, Goa, Kerala- where top 32 schools in each city participate in a knockout tournament. The winning team of each city will then play against each other to be the champion on the Mahindra youth football challenge. The objective of the tournament is to provide a national level platform to the young students and football lovers of different cities,districts to show their talent and spirit in the field of Soccar.

Awards and Incentives: The winning school of MYFC will receive a cash prize of Rs 50K along with the trophy and the runner-up team will receive a cash prize of Rs 30K. Apart from that individual prizes are also provided like 'Best striker' ,'Best mid-fielder' etc.

Each player in the six teams in the Inter-City League will be given two pairs of kitting (Jersey, Shorts & Stockings). Travel, out of pocket expenses during the travel, and lodging & boarding of all the six schools will be taken care of by MYFC

There is also a learning experience from the Best. The winning school from the six cities will benefit from a 4 days couching camp ,conducted by the Celtic Football club,Scotland. Some players from these tournament will be picked to travel to Scotland and Celtic Football club for further intensive training.
