Sunrise Canoe with the Urban Voyageurs

Published June 25th, 2012

The Urban Voyageurs woke up very early on Sunday June 24th to catch sunrise on Lake Ontario with Nessie, the trusty canoe.

We launched from Cherry Beach as the sun was minutes from rising over the horizon and paddled over to explore the Leslie St Spit this trip. We were in the water by 5:30am and finished up as the sun was starting to heat the city up around 8am.

The Urban Voyageurs for this trip were Michael Mitchener as the helmsman, William Self manning the bow and Frank Lemire as the passenger. These are Frank's photos shot on a Nikon D800 with a 24-120VR lens, click the links above for the other Voyageur's photos.

Please see the Urban Voyageur Blog for more photos and stories from past trips.
