From the moment that I first arrived in Australia from the Netherlands, I have been fascinated and inspired by the diversity of this country and its landscapes. What started as a hobby has become one of my greatest passions.
Whilst taking many photos during my travels I felt there was a need for a camera that would allow me to push my boundaries to the next level. In the summer of 2009, I replaced my point-and-shoot camera for my first Canon DSLR. Suddenly a whole new world opened up for me and I was able to take control of different exposures and apertures.
Only a few years later and many hours behind the lens, I started selling pieces of my work and published my first photography book with my images of Melbourne, the city that I call home. This was great motivation to improve myself as a photographer, review new techniques and upgrade my equipment to achieve the best results in my work.
I started exploring more of the landscapes around Victoria to find new opportunities. Hiking through forests around the Yarra Ranges, driving along the rough coastlines of the Great Ocean Road and climbing mountainous areas such as the Grampians and Wilsons Promontory National Parks.
I would like to share my photographs with you and hope that you enjoy them as much as I did capture them. Thank you for visiting!
