Dan Girard

I'm a self taught photographer. When I was 14 my next door neighbor gave me a very old Leica camera that was totally manual. There was no light meter in it or any kinda of metering device. You had to manually set the aperture and shutter speed, and then cock the shutter open. It was a great little camera and I learned so much.

From there my parents bought me a Pentax K1000 and quickly joined the Annual Staff, where I learned about darkroom processing. NO Ansel Adams here, but it was fun to learn and experiment.

In 2013 I purchased my first DSLR and I jumped right back into photography. Reading forums, watching youtube videos, and learning about digital photography, and the tools needed.

I love taking pictures of all things as each and every subject has something new to teach me and I'm enjoying learning as much as I can about this wonderful medium of expression.

I hope you enjoy my journey into Photography as much as I enjoy showing you the world through my camera lens.
