Tetons from the Hole

Published February 24th, 2013

For some reason I keep coming back to Jackson Hole. I try hard to avoid Jackson but I am caught up in the valley.

My fishing partner tried to interest me in this place for years but it was not until my son gave me a Nikon point and shoot camera that I really started seeing Jackson Hole and then Mormon Row.

I do not think about where everyone else goes. In fact I do not think about where I go. I am just driving along or walking and I see something and I stop. I do not think ahead much and I try to stay within whatever moment presents itself.

so I will try to build a story of my vision of the Grand Teton and its supporting cast (Teewinot!!!)

I use this fence to my advantage. Or at least I think it is to my advantage. I do wonder what was here before. It sure is gone now.

Irrigation ditch reflection

the clouds produced a kind of closed canopy for the Tetons and the light was still sweet, si I climbed down into the irrigation ditch to take my chances
