Vladimir Borisov

I was born in 1960. At the age of 14 I was given a camera "Smena-8mm" by my parents. A friend of mine took me to the photo-club in The Pioneers' house. We were sitting in the red light of bulb, printing and glazing. It was magic. Then I took photos with Zenit-E. But my photographing didn't really become eager. I used to travel a lot in the 90's. Dozens of countries, incredible scenary, the sea, castles, sunsets and sunrises, but nothing reflected on photo-paper. "I'm near a monument" was the only waste which I brought after my travels. In 2004 my wife captivated me into photography. So I bought Canon 20D, renewed the film park Ninon, FM3A and Rollei 35 RF. I started photographing in more reasonable way. My favourite teachers are Roger Hicks and Lee Frost. After that i realised that photography is not a profession, but its a life style. There are neither weekends no holidays As photography demands all your time without exception. Even if you don't have a camera with you, you will look at the world around you differently: through a "view-finder" in your brain. Now I have yo see the world with different eyes. There are still many faults, but there is an aim to reach.
