I am a keen amateur photographer with a true love of nature and wildlife. I first took up photography at school – it was either that or home economics! I learned the basics of Black & White film photography and dark room processing. After leaving school it was a long time before I picked up a camera again. It was my love of nature that got me back into photography – I wanted to keep a record of the wonderful birds and other wildlife that I encountered on my trips out. I purchased a Canon S2IS and this great little camera really ignited my passion for photography. I soon had a Canon EOS 20d and a Sigma 50-500mm lens, I had great fun with this combination and gradually upgraded to a 40d followed by a 7d. I have met some wonderful people over the past few years through this super hobby, thanks to all of you who have given me much help and advice, you know who you are, my thanks to you all.

Finally found my way here:-)

What a great site and lots of familiar faces and some awesome photography - will gradually find my may around and workout how things work.

Was intending to get out this morning and try and get some autumn shots - there is some wonderful colour out there at the moment, Somehow it just never happened. Must set the alarm for tomorrow!

Got family visiting this afternoon so just put a farmhouse fruit cake in the oven, off to make a lemon pie as well soon.............

Have a great weekend everyone :-)
