“When Finnish artist Vesa Kivinen captures your “portrait,” he doesn’t just hint at the contents of your soul—your deepest fears, desires, triumphs, and avenues of personal expression. Vesa brings them all to the surface, creating collage imagery that reveal more about his subjects than even the subjects themselves thought possible. While he is not the first to do this kind of work, he may very well be the best. ”

Vesa's work has been quoted by established press as - as childish as that may sound - an original, having reinvented a cultural norm and amongst the most integral expressions in Western history by a history and art philosophy professor.
His recent 2013 collaboration with the Bollywood actress Veena Malik, got cross cultural attention including The Independent, BBC World, Times of India, Pakistan Tribune, Helsingin Sanomat etc. According to estimates by journalists it reached hundreds of millions of people.
Vesa (born 1978) started his international career as a filmmaker and a photographer in 1999. He got educated as a director in the UK and has been working with both disciplines non-stop since through his own company. His more traditional and commercial work CV include companies like Absolut Vodka, Nissan, Nokia Siemens Networks etc. In 2008, Kivinen developed a form of mixed media art called Artevo (Art Evolving) which involves body-painting, traditional painting, photography and image manipulation.
He lives in London with his fiancee and dog.
