Business District "La defense" in Paris

Published August 19th, 2013

I work in the business district of the Paris defense. I'm so there every day and my lunch breaks are an opportunity for me to look for the beauty in the concrete and glass towers, either with my Sony HX200 or my Iphone, when it rain or shine ...

To present the place: La Defense in Paris is the first European business district by the extent of its office park. It is located in the Hauts-de-Seine on the territories of Puteaux, Courbevoie and Nanterre in the wake of the historic Parisian axis which starts at the Louvre and continues through the Champs-Elysées, Arc of triomphe, and beyond to the bridge of Neuilly and the Ark of the Defense2.

Built in 1960, La Défense consists mainly of high-rise buildings, comprising mainly offices (approximately 3 million m2). However, is a mixed neighborhood: it hosts 600,000 m2 of housing and the opening of the shopping center of Quatre-Temps in 1981 was a major commercial center in Ile-de-France. In 2009, the district has 2,500 companies, about 180,000 employees and 20,000 inhabitants3 in 71 rounds.

Now, let me show you how I see this place...
