Michael Arthur Johnson, from Olympia, Washington, USA. Traveled, lived and worked extensively in Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam and Europe now living in Latvia.
Started taking B&W photos at about age eight (8) with various forms of the Kodak Brownie box cameras. Graduated to the Graflex Graphic 35 in about 1957 and then to the Asahi Pentax in the late sixties.
Have taken developed and printed many thousands of black & white photos before moving on to Kodachrome and Ektachrome for color slides and finally to Fuji in 1971, when I was living in Japan
First digital camera was an HP 318 in 2002; then to a Panasonic in 2003 and my Nikon CoolPix 8700 in 2005 and now the Nikon D300S in 2009 with a couple of nice small Canon Powershots' along the way.
Have taken many thousands of photos from various places around the world while traveling extensively and working for several international companies including: Leeds & Northrup, Bechtel Power Corporation, Dillingham, Computer Products - Boschert, Hewlett-Packard Company.
