The Call of Bengal

I have never had Bengali food in my life, except the occasional rasgulla, sandesh, mishti dai, chum chum or other Bengali sweets. Nothing savory at least. That was until today when I explored the food of Bengal with members of the Hyderabad Foodies club (most of those who were in attendance were Bengalis) at the Call of Bengal. The restaurant it self is part of a food court here at Madhapur in Hyderabad and doesn't overflow with ambiance, provided a great and tasty lunch. Follow me dish by dish into food that was familiar yet somehow a new experience.
