Post processing

Published August 8th, 2012

So recently, I've been trying to do something a bit different with my photos. It's really hard to distinguish yourself from all the other incredible photographers out there (you know who you are). So what are my options?

1. Get better at photography - well, I'm trying

2. Get better equipment - do I really need to do this? Think what I've good should suffice.

3. Learn to process my pictures better - a steep learning curve which I'm currently at the bottom of.

So these shots are far too over-processed but I like that they are different from most of the things I've done in the past. Also I've really gone off the HDR thing and this allows a bridge to that without all the effort.

Again with the Topaz...

Kinoull Hill in Perth, Scotland

Lyle Hill

Another shot from the trip to Gourock in April. This is not HDR but just heavily processed in Topaz Adjust.

Pittenweem Lookout

Just mucking about with some settings from Topaz Adjust. This isn't HDR for those purists out there!

good shots but I think it is too heavily process till some parts of the image look blur. I am lousy with photoshop or lightroom but I don't process my photos too heavily it make the photos look unreal.
