Feast of the Señor Santo Niño "Sinulog"

Published August 31st, 2012

Philippines is predominantly Catholic, each year on the third week of January, my hometown Cebu celebrates the Fiesta of Señor Santo Niño or we call it SINULOG. During this week long celebration the whole city comes alive, practically it's the continuation of Christmas season. Tourist & locals joins the Procession of the Image of the Holy Child "Sto. Niño", Fluvial parade at the Pier area and to culminate it all on Sunday with a Grand Mardi Gras of colorful street dancing performed by many groups. Two years back, I had a chance to took some photos of the festivity which I'd like to share. Click on my SET for more photos of Sinulog Fiesta.
