An actress, whose name I've failed to note down, performs a little play about the history of Iceland. This is from the part about the legend of a woman who had to leave her unwanted daughter to die of expoure, wrapped in her only spare dress. Later, when she was invited to a dance, she couldn't go because her spare dress was gone. When she mentioned it aloud while milking ewes, she heard her daughter's voice, singing . And went crazy.
